【最終回を迎えるOCCA/YSK主催SECTに新進気鋭アーティストが集結】
最先端のシグネチャーサウンドで注目を集めるLOEK FREY、革新的なプラットフォーム Minimal Collective の共同設立者BRENT JACKOが来日。
札幌拠点のOCCAと北九州拠点のYSKが共同主催するテクノパーティ”SECT”は、DISKONNECTED、DJ MARIA.、ENITOKWA、K.O.P. 32、KAISEI、OGASHAKA、SPEKKI WEBU、TADAN、VECTOR FIELD、WOODY92、8AM、ASTMA、、KAI GALACTIC、KALI、KATSU、LISA MIZUNO、LYNNE、ΛSYL、NØ¡R、OLEVV、SIBEL、SISINOBU、TEPPEI、TONER、YKAH、YO NISHIJIMAなど、多彩かつ先鋭的なアーティストをブッキングしてきた。
集大成として、来たる 2月27日、VENTにて”SECT FINAL”と題した最終回が開催される。
ROOM1へは主催のOCCA/YSKがプレイする。また今回のヘッドライナーを務める LOEK FREYは、OCCA/YSKが以前から招聘を熱望していたアムステルダム拠点のアーティストであり、IDM、テクノ、ドラムンベース、ブレイクビートを横断しながら、自身のレーベル OQAD を主宰し、既存の枠に収まらない独自のシグネチャー・サウンドを確立してきた。その音楽は、すでに世界中のアーティスト、リスナー、ダンサーを魅了しており、現代電子音楽の最前線を切り拓く存在と言える。
もう一人のヘッドライナー BRENT JACKO は、洗練されたデザインとキュレーションによって、電子音楽、アーティスト、インタビュー、映像、テキストを横断的に発信するWEBプラットフォーム Minimal Collective の共同設立者。現代音楽やアート産業の裏側に深く根ざしてきた彼が提示する、実験性と抑制を軸としたパフォーマンスは、SECT FINALにおけるもう一つの重要な見どころとなるだろう。
ROOM2に登場するADAK7 は、“GARDEN” 、 “DRONE屋敷”などのオーガナイズを手がけながら、テクノを軸に実験的なアプローチでサウンドを構築するアーティスト。その独自のスタイルは、コアなリスナーから厚い支持を集めている。
KAI GALACTICは、テクノパーティ”DAYBREAK”を主催、近年は同名のレーベルを立ち上げ、自身の曲や海外のアーティストのリリースを重ねる。また、本人も様々な海外レーベルから曲をリリースし活動の場を広げている。
TEI TEI は、自身が主宰する”電気菩薩”がカルト的な人気を誇り、北京、香港、マカオでの中国凱旋公演をはじめ、上海、台湾、韓国・ソウルなど、アジア各地へと活動の場を広げている。
TONER は、ディープリスニングチルアウト・コミュニティ”LIMINAL DREAMS”、ダンスミュージックのフォーマットを解体／横断する実験的クラブイベント”The Line Shifting to Dots”を主宰。さらに野外フェスティバル〈rural〉のレジデントとしても活動している。
次世代の音楽体験への接続を試み続けてきたSECTがVENTで送る最終章。その瞬間を、ぜひフロアで体験してほしい。
Emerging artists converge for the final edition of SECT, hosted by OCCA and YSK at VENT
Loek Frey, drawing attention for his cutting-edge signature sound, and Brent Jacko, co-founder of the forward-thinking platform Minimal Collective, make their long-awaited Japan appearances.
Co-hosted by Sapporo-based OCCA and Kitakyushu-based YSK, the techno party SECT has consistently showcased a diverse and progressive lineup, including Diskonnected, DJ Maria., Enitokwa, K.O.P. 32, Kaisei, Ogashaka, Spekki Webu, Tadan, Vector Field, Woody92, 8AM, Astma, Kai Galactic, Kali, Katsu, Lisa Mizuno, Lynne, Λsyl, Nøir, Olevv, Sibel, Sisinobu, Teppei, Toner, Ykah, and Yo Nishijima. Its final chapter, titled SECT Final, takes place at VENT on February 27.
Room 1 features sets from organizers OCCA and YSK, alongside headliner Loek Frey, an Amsterdam-based artist long sought by the duo. Moving fluidly across IDM, techno, drum and bass, and breakbeats, he runs his own label Oqad and has developed a distinctive sound unconstrained by genre. His work has already resonated with artists, listeners, and dancers worldwide, placing him at the forefront of contemporary electronic music.
The second headliner, Brent Jacko, is co-founder of Minimal Collective, a web platform known for its refined curation of electronic music, artists, interviews, video, and text. Deeply embedded in today’s music and art landscape, his performance, defined by experimentation and restraint, stands as another key highlight of the night.
In Room 2, Adak7 brings his experimental, techno-centered approach shaped through projects such as Garden and Drone Yashiki. Kai Galactic, founder of the DAYBREAK party and label, continues to expand his reach through both domestic and international releases.
Tei Tei, whose party Denki Bodhisattva has earned her cult status, appears following performances across Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Seoul.
Toner, organizer of the deep-listening community Liminal Dreams and the experimental event The Line Shifting to Dots, also joins the lineup, alongside his role as a resident at the outdoor festival, rural.
SECT’s final chapter marks the culmination of a series dedicated to pushing toward the next generation of musical experience. This is one to be witnessed on the floor.
